Only God

From Yara Armenta

There are many instances in the Bible that remind us that only God has the power to change situations. One instance we can find is in the book of Exodus in chapter 14, which is about how God used Moses to part the Red Sea. "The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:14). These words of encouragement had to be said, not only for the Israelites walking through the sea, but also for us in our current problems. I could only imagine the faith it took to walk through the sea. Truthfully, I would have run and not due to being followed, but rather due to seeing the waves literally split. Moses had trust in God's power, so why don't we

Another instance where we see God's protection is when Daniel was thrown into the lion's den.
In Daniel 6:22, Daniel said to the king, "My God sent His angel and shut the lions' mouths, so that they have not hurt me [...]." What someone wanted to be a gruesome and unfair death was turned to a demonstration of God's care for those who are faithful to Him. If Daniel had faith about God's protection, why don't we

One final instance I want to mention is when Elijah went head to head with the false prophets of Baal. In 1 Kings 18:37, Elijah exclaims, "Hear me, O LORD, hear me, that this people may know that You are the LORD God, and that You have turned their hearts back to You again." The prophets of Baal were made to look as liars despite their sacrifices to Baal, but Elijah was proven to have worshiped the One True God. Elijah had faith that God would show up for him, so why don't we

Only God can make the impossible possible. Only God can give us divine protection, and He will always show up for those who believe in Him. Despite any situations, continue to have faith in who God is no matter how overwhelming a problem may be. The God of the universe is for you, so who will be against you?
