A MESSAGE FOR YOU
From The Pastor
A Letter From Pastor Tim
Whether you are in town visiting or looking for a church home, thank you for coming. I'd like to share some of my story with you in hopes that you will hear my heart as it relates to the body of Christ and how we must follow God.
I came to a place in life at 21 years of age that God was real. He was evident in the lives of those I associated with. One person, particularly, was my girlfriend at the time, Cristy. Cristy modeled to me what a follower of Jesus looked like. I had never been close enough to a Christian to see a genuine heart for God. In April of 1993 I decided to follow Jesus and obey Him.
Cristy and I married in October of 1994 and we have been blessed with five sons and one daughter. God called us to Sahuarita in February of 2005 to start The Rock Church. In November of 2005 we were sent from California to follow Him in obedience. We have learned a lot since then and are excited to see where God is taking His church!
The Rock body is a group of people who are seeking to live the way God intended His people to live. We are seeking after Jesus and allowing the Holy Spirit to move us into places of faith. We believe that the doctrine of the Word joined with the Holy Spirit is what God intended for His church to live out. My prayer is that we continue to follow Jesus as we are led by the Holy Spirit to glorify God and help others to do the same.
I believe the world, like I was, is waiting for a few people to radically fall in love with Jesus and follow Him. They are waiting for Christians to share God's love no matter who they are, what they have done, or what they look like. Jesus told us we are the light of the world. It is my desire to be light to those in my world. I also want to challenge those who attend The Rock to grow into the likeness of Jesus and be light to those in their world.

Thank you for your interest in The Rock Church. God bless you!
