Give Life to Your Mortal Bodies

Recently, our DBS Group read through Romans 8:11 which says, "But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you."
I was really focused on the part that says Christ will also give life to my mortal body. My thoughts turned to being resurrected from the dead physically, but also His Spirit giving my mortal body spiritual life. If I am alive, then my mortal body is alive. But if I am not born of the Spirit of God, my mortal body could be physically alive and spiritually dead. I dare say people like that are similar to zombies - the walking dead!
Romans 8:11 is clear that only the Spirit can give us life, both physically and spiritually! We have all been born physically, obviously! But not everyone is born spiritually. The Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead will also give life to our mortal bodies if we have His Spirit living inside of us. To get His Spirit to live inside of us (1 Corinthians 3:16), we must repent and accept Jesus as Lord and Savior (Acts 2:38, 3:19).
My prayer is that every single person who reads this has taken a step in faith to repent, believe on Jesus, and be forgiven by God so that you will have the Spirit of God living inside of you and giving your mortal body life!
